St Margaret Mary's

Remaining healthy and fit is crucially important to keep our young women  strong and active, in addition to providing better rest, stress relief and improved overall well being.

At St Margaret Mary’s College, we offer a wide range of sports within the curriculum, as well as in our co-curricular program. We aim to make sure that girls have the skills to maintain a healthy life through school and into their adult lives.

We focus on teamwork, technical skills and theory to make sure all students have a great understanding of sport and fitness. We ensure that those who are gifted at sport can thrive, and importantly, we make sure it is fun and enjoyable for everyone.

St Margaret Mary’s College has a strong sporting tradition. The program is designed to develop physical skills and wellbeing, as well as teamwork and sportswomanship. With opportunities to choose from a wide range of sports and to play at many different levels, girls grow in physical and personal confidence, forming friendships that last a lifetime.

Our extensive school sport program is at the heart of the College community, drawing families into the life of the College as spectators, managers and in some cases as coaches. The coaching is undertaken primarily by College staff, all of whom give considerable time to training the teams each year, providing specialist expertise for elite skill development.
