Years 7 to 10
A broad range of subjects is offered in Year 7, incorporating the nine Key Learning Areas: English; Mathematics; Science; Business and Civics & Citizenship Education; Technology; Languages other than English; the Arts; Religious Education and Health & Physical Education. Students study all subjects.
In Years 8, 9 and 10, students continue their studies in core subjects of Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Business and Civics & Citizenship Education, Science, Health & Physical Education and select electives from the Arts; Technology and LOTE Key Learning Areas.
Years 11 and 12
An impressive record of results in state and national competitions, and the consistently high achievements of our Year 12 students are testament to the outstanding academic success of Saint Margaret Mary's College.
Students are offered a challenging and diverse curriculum for the vital years of 11 and 12. We cater for a wide range of student needs, from tertiary entrance to vocational education and training. Success in a variety of subject options can lead to a student receiving a Queensland Certificate of Education. Subject options cover QCAA Authority Subjects and Study Area Specifications as well as VET Certificates.
Students wishing to be eligible for tertiary entrance may select from a wide range of Authority Subjects.
Senior students at the College are challenged to begin taking responsibility for their own learning by becoming self-disciplined and self-motivated learners.
