On Wednesday morning, 8th March, SMMC students and staff attended the International Women’s Day Breakfast held at The Ville Hotel and Casino, hosted by the Zonta Club of Townsville, and Soroptimist International. The International Women’s Day breakfast raised money for the UN Women National Committee, a committee dedicated to gender equality and promoting women empowerment. This year the guest speakers including Dawn O'Neil and Carmel O’Brien. The theme this year being ‘Unite to end Domestic Violence’.
