During the recent school holidays, the SMMC Open Netball Team competed at the Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Netball Carnival held in Brisbane. For the last two years our team has won the Division 2 competition, so this year we went away with the aim of progressing one step further, making Division 1. This is the first time a St Margaret Mary’s College team has qualified for the Division 1 competition, so it was a fantastic achievement! To be ranked 7th out of all the competing independent schools in Queensland in a state-wide competition places us amongst the elite netball schools in the state and demonstrates the fantastic strength we have in SMMC Netball.
