On Sun afternoon, Sept 20th, twenty-one students and three teachers (Mrs Cook, Mrs Arnold and Mr Park) from St Margaret Mary's College departed Townsville for their bi-annual international sporting tour. Following the outstanding success of the 2013 tour, the girls once again travel to the UK where they will compete against five other schools in Netball and Football. 

The tour will be away for eighteen days during which time the girls will be visiting Edinburgh, Newcastle (where they will see Newcastle F.C. play Chelsea F.C.at St James' Park), Bradford, Bath  (where they will explore the Roman Baths and other famous Roman monuments), and London, (where they will tour the city, take a ride on the London Eye and see the musical 'The Lion King' on the West End). The final days of the tour will be spent in Dubai where the girls will tour the ancient and modern city and then visit the world's largest and most opulent shopping Mall where they will visit "Ski Dubai' and play in the snow. The tour finishes with dinner aboard an ancient Dhow as it sails through the Dubai night.
